Hello Concerned Chippewa Citizens and
Loyalty to Our Land Friends and Supporters!
On July 16, 2009 Midwest Environmental Advocates (MEA), an environmental law firm, sent another letter on behalf of both our groups to the DNR’s Division Administrator for Air and Waste urging the agency to reject CSP’s efforts to weaken the monitoring requirements of the Air Permit and to immediately begin a state-wide study on crystalline silica emissions. As you know, the DNR was legally required to start these studies by 2006. "It is possible that air permit standards would ensure greater protections had these studies been started."Please go to the Midwest Environmental Advocates website where you can read all about it: www.midwestadvocates.org
At their website you can read the DNR permitting documents, MEA’s first letter to the DNR, the July 16, 2009 letter recently delivered to the DNR, and the Press Release sent to
Statewide media outlets on June 21, 2009.
Please let friends and supporters who do not have access to the internet know about this news. We urge you to
read the July 16th letter so you understand what MEA’s concerns are with the air permit that may yet be issued to CSP.
