Pat Popple was talking to Judy Hayducsko, Water regulations and Zoning Specialist and Engineer with the EauClaire DNR, and learned that this is a Tier I project: the dirtiest of all heavy industrial projects. It has the potential of the highest level of pollutants. The potential run off is of the greatest concern in this project.
Water from around the traffic circle (sometime 2’ deep in springtime) drains toward the river directly through the proposed sand plant area.

There was some concern as to the 200 million gallons of water this plant will need, but recently our plastics plant put in a re-circulator  and dropped their usage by 360 million gallons, leaving plenty for the sand plant.
